2026 Edwards Family Wellness Weekend

WHAT THIS WEEKEND IS ABOUT

This weekend is about movement, health awareness, creating new memories, and sharing new experiences - right in Columbia, MO with family.

The weekend is thoughtfully structured, not to control how anyone spends their time, but to encourage presence, participation, and deeper connection with one another. It’s an opportunity to gather differently. To move our bodies, check in on our health, and truly spend time together beyond our usual routines.

Because this takes place over Memorial Day weekend, we’re also making space to honor our loved ones who came before us. Sunday is dedicated to showing care, love, and remembrance at our family cemetery plot.

This is about coming together with purpose and doing something meaningful, together.

Your registration fee directly supports the cost of:

  • Your Custom Edwards Family event t-shirt

  • Water bottles and hydration supplies

  • Saturday lunch for registered participant

  • Healthy snacks, fruit, and vegetables

  • Event materials (name tags, signage, supplies)

  • Wellness activities that support all ages

This allows us to plan responsibly, reduce waste, and ensure everyone is cared for during the weekend.

FRIDAY, MAY 22 | FAMILY ARRIVALS + SUNSET YOGA

  • Family arrivals throughout the day

  • 6:00 PM - Evening sunset yoga session

  • Location: Allen Street Area - Columbia, MO

    • Open to all ages and experience levels

  • Light refreshments

  • Time to settle in, reconnect, and ease into the weekend

SATURDAY, MAY 23 | 3K WALK / RUN

  • Location: Allen Street Area - Columbia, MO

  • 00:00 AM - Registration / Check-In

    • Pick up t-shirts

    • Water bottles

    • Snacks

    • Name tags with family nicknames

    Warm-Up

    • Guided stretching

    • Family prayer

    Main Event

    • Edwards Family 3K Walk/Run

    • Walk or run at your own pace

    • Family members may support one another along the route

    Post-3K

    • Cool-down stretching

    • Closing reflections

    • Snacks, fruit, hydration, and connection time

SUNDAY, MAY 24 | HONORING OUR LOVED ONES

  • Location: Log Providence Cemetery – Columbia, MO

  • 00:00 AM - Gathering at the Edwards family plot

    • Placing flowers

    • Caring for and tending to the space

    • Family prayer and remembrance

    • Departures home

    This portion of the weekend is highly encouraged to take part in and deeply meaningful.
